I find these works interesting as they are based on simplistic shapes and layers. The colour is very toned down and the type is very bold. The designers style is art deco.

‘Logo Design Love’ is a blog about everything logo. There are many new and creative logos that get shared as well as displaying how relevant and common everyday logos are. I enjoy that there is so much white space in the layout of the blog.

I found ‘Fridge design studio’ there website online is very simple and I like how they incorporate there name into other things, for example “Like a well stocked fridge we are full of tempting design ingredients to tantalize your brand.”
The website features include: about us, our services, portfolio, news, contact and a login for clients.
They provide a strategic design process and relationships to build with their clients. They explain that they have a creative business mind.

I didn’t actually attend the Biennale due to poor health BUT I would have enjoyed viewing the suspended cars with explosive looking attachments. It’s quite surreal to be able to walk under hanging cars on a high ceiling.

Being a noble employee at McDonalds I always enjoy a good parody. Paste ups are my favourite.

Some real awesome type ->

I chose to review ‘Dumbo feather, pass it on’ due to the mere fact it has THE MOST RADICAL NAME. EVER. This magazine promotes itself on being a “mook (half mag, half book” I read issue #22 which included inspiring stories about 5 unique individuals. The article that caught my eye was ironically the one about designing sunglasses.

Being interested in illustration I chose the book ‘What is illustration?’ by Lawrence Zeegan. This very graphic book includes artists such as:

Christoph Niemann

I particularly enjoyed the work of Christoph Niemann. His work is the kind that you remember due to its somewhat humorous aspects. His images are vector cartoons that are vibrant and often consist of very bold outlines.

What is graphic design?

To me, graphic design is creating beautiful images using both hand drawn techniques and digital technologies, it’s about self-expression, provoking responses from viewers and well…..creating art. ALAS graphic design is actually very commercial and a gigantic waste of paper.
